Analysts see light at end of tunnel as Taylor Wimpey says profit will be ‘at upper end of forecasts’

Housebuilder expects to build 10,500 homes this year

Taylor Wimpey says it on track to post operating profit of £470m this year, which is at the upper end of its previous forecast.

The housebuilder, in a trading update today, said it has been able to generate operating profit towards the upper end of its £440m to £470m range due to its focus on “optimising price and sharp cost discipline”.
